The children are working through their first AMSTI module with Mrs. Maze. It is called Earth Materials. Here in this picture, the children are observing "mock" rocks created by Mrs. Maze.
The students had to measure his/her rock's circumference, diameter, and depth. They also had to describe the rocks physical properties (color, texture, smell, etc.) as well.
Amando is working hard to figure out his rock's circumference.
Here is a close up of a mock rock. Ask your child to tell you about his/her rock! They had a blast breaking them apart.
