Fractions

The boys and girls worked on finding equivalent fractions today.
Example: 1/2 = 2/4 = 4/8 = 8/16













Best way to teach this is with hands-on activities!

Cathedral Caverns

We had a great day at Cathedral Caverns last Friday. It was an amazing experience!!!!

Panning for Gold

On our field trip last Friday, the boys and girls had an amazing time panning for gold.














Each child had their own bag of dirt to pan. Look what they found!!!!

















We did get a little wet (and cold).

Location:Cathedral Caverns

Planet Research

The boys and girls worked together to research the planets in our solar system.


They used books and the Internet to complete their research.


After they finished researching, each student made a book of facts about his/her planet.


Each student was responsible for teaching the rest of the class about his/her planet.


The boys and girls learned a lot of interesting facts!!!


They did an "out of this world" job!!!!
