Our Last Full Day in New York City: Thanksgiving Day

We got up once again SUPER early to get a good spot for the parade! We had a perfect spot and met some really awesome people. We stood there for a total of 4 hours, but it was so worth it!!! I could not believe how close we were! I had to hold back the tears! It was truly amazing!

These teenagers were jumping roping! What a talent!!!

This is the winner of the NYC Marathon, Meb! Behind him, you can see Miss USA.

Look! Hope from Days of Our Lives!

After the parade, we headed to China Town for some shopping. The boys loved it!

When we got home, we had this! Thanks Aunt Jill for such a yummy Thanksgiving lunch!

Here is all the yummy desserts we got to choose from.

Mr. David cleaning the dishes.
After our tummies were full, we all got blankets, jumped on the couch, and watched a movie!
What a perfect Thanksgiving Day!

My Birthday in New York

We got up on my birthday and hit the roads of Brooklyn with a tour guide. We got online and found that they did running tours on foot. David and I had a very nice guy named Frank that took us on an 11 mile run around Brooklyn. We are on the Brooklyn Bridge right here. We also ran across the Williamsburg Bridge.

When we got back, this is what we found......

The boys went to "doggie heaven" with Buddy.

They had so much fun watching all the dogs play with each other!

That afternoon, David took the boys to The Musuem of Natural History. This is what made Patton's trip complete! This is why HE came to New York.

Monkey see, Monkey Do!

While the boys were at the museum, Jill and I went shopping at IKEA! Then, we met the boys at LOBO's, a mexican restaurant, for my birthday dinner. It was yummy!

Then, we all scooted across the street to The Chocolate Room for dessert!

Oh my!!!!
Patton totally freaked out when he saw this....
We had chocolate fondue, milkshakes, brownies with ice cream, and chocolate lattes.

See why David and I got up and ran 11 miles this morning!!!!

Day 3 in New York City

We got up bright and early to hit the streets of Brooklyn. We headed first to Dunkin Donuts!
Ummmm......which one should I get?

On our walk, we saw the NYFD in action!
There was a huge apartment fire!

David and Smitty then headed to the Yankee Stadium. This all Smith wanted to in New York.

This made Smith's trip complete!

While they were at the Yankee Stadium, Patton and I headed to Central Park. It was beautiful crisp fall day!

That night we went to the broadway show STOMP! It was awesome!

Afterwards, the boys beat on everything they could find! Those poor passengers on the subway!
I strongly recommend seeing Stomp if you ever have the opportunity! It is loud, but amazing!!!
