Some more Timeline Examples

I found some more pictures of some of my students from last year presenting their timelines. I even had a few make scrapbooks. It does not have to be on an actual line. Be creative! Have fun going down memory lane!!!

Store Items Needed

Our baskets are getting low! That is a good sign, though!! That means we have had lots of good behavior. Yipee for 3rd grade!
We need pens, erasers, balls, candy bars, suckers, notepads, cars, play jewelry, cards, etc. Target and The Dollar Store have some super Halloween toys: slinkies, skeletons, pencils, stamps, etc.
Thanks for your help!!!!

Workshop in Session

This week our workshop time is focusing on Social Studies. This group is working on map skills. They are using a compass rose and a map key.
This group is working on finding states and capitals.

After they locate their states and capitals, they have to determine what states border each other.
Investigate A STATE project is also part of workshop this week. Each child is responsible for researching a state and making a poster about it!
I was truly impressed with how hard they worked on this project today.

I can't wait to hang them up. A picture of the finished product will be coming soon.

In listening, the students are listening to an all time favorite of mine, Chester the Worldly Pig. It is a precious story that fits in great with this unit in Social Studies.

These two loved it!!!!

For the first couple of lessons, the boys and girls will be using a box violin. They will learn how to handle the box violin before receiving a real violin. Yes, each child will have a real violin to use during their lessons.
