Christmas Eve

WE always start Christmas Eve morning with exchanging gifts between OUR family because we are not home much after that! The boys were so excited to get to open their gifts from underneath our tree!
We went to our Christmas Eve Service at First Baptist Church with my family. Then, we went over to my parents' house for a little bit for appetizers. The grandchildren got to open their stockings from Nana and Papa. They had to wait until Christmas night to open presents!

After stockings, our family headed over to David's parents' house to do Christmas with them. David's brother and wife were there from New York City.
Smith's big present, another AirSoft gun!
Patton's big gift, an electric guitar with an amp!

A Sweet Gift

One of our dear friends, Mr. Patrick, invited us over one Saturday morning after we ran 15 miles for a Christmas breakfast! When we got done running, he had so much food for us to consume!!! He was so kind to even invite friends from church and my family. We had chocolate gravy, pancakes, eggs, doughnuts, cereal, muffins, fruit, coffee, etc........ What a treat (esp. after 15 miles of running)!!!! Everything was so beautiful! He really went WAY out to treat us!!!
Our kiddos were in HEAVEN with all these goodies!!!

We ate and ate until we couldn't eat anymore!

A Trip to Nashville

My mom took my sister, my sister-in-law, me, and all our kiddos to the Opryland Hotel to spend the night right before Christmas. Everyone had a fabulous time, however I was laid up in the bed pretty much the whole trip because I was sooo sick. I went to the Doc In The Box the morning we were suppose to leave because I could barely hold my head up and was running a fever. My purpose of going to the doctor was to make sure I did not have the flu or strep. Well, both of those tests came back negative, but I was diagnosed with a Mycoplasma Infection???? I went and got my 2 prescriptions filled and hopped in the car with the rest of the gang and headed to Nashville (We were running an hour behind because of me going to the doctor). I slept all the way there, but I was determine to go since I did not have the FLU or STREP!!! When we got there, I ate a little lunch and then headed to the bed in my room. The rest of the gang enjoyed themselves at ICE and SNOW, but were sweet to frequently come and check on me in the room! The children loved SNOW! They got to make snowballs!!!
All bundled up!
Ready to go into ICE!!

IT was time to head back home at this point!!!! I was finally feeling better by the morning. I was able to enjoy a yummy breakfast with everyone before we headed back home!

Making Gingerbread Houses

After a yummy pancake breakfast, the boys and girls created MASTERPIECES! They did such a beautiful job on their gingerbread houses.

The finish project! They were gorgeous!!!

Pancake Breakfast

We celebrated the Christmas season with a third grade pancake breakfast! We had several griddles going in our third grade commons to prepare yummy pancakes for hungry kiddos. Mr. K. stayed close because we blew a fuse not just once or twice, but about 6 times!!!
Some classes sent in meat to go along with the pancakes.

Thanks to all the parents who made this breakfast possible. The boys and girls had a great time! The food was perfect!
