Day 2 Continued....

After dinner, we headed to the Empire State Building! It was a cloudy night, but we still could see GREAT!
It was super cold and windy! We even saw snow flurries when we were up on top!

Day 2 in New York City

We got up super early and headed to Rockfeller Plaza to watch The Today Show. We tried and tried and tried, but the camera never hit us! Oh well! It was still a lot of fun.
The boys got these gloves and some foam microphones to advertise The Today Show's Concert Series. We were excited to get free gifts.

Susan Boyle was the guest of honor. We heard her sing 3 songs.

There is Meredith!

This is the beautiful ice skating rink at Rockefeller Plaza.

They will light this Christmas tree on December 3.

After The Today Show, we headed to the Toy Stores: Toys R Us and FAO Schwarz.

We did lots and lots of walking!

Yes, this is made out of Legos. It was amazing!
The boys had a blast on the big piano in FAO Schwarz.

This is us loading the ferris wheel inside Toys R Us. We had a fire truck as our car!

Mr. David and Smitty on the ferris wheel.

Patton and I on the ferris wheel.

This is where we ate dinner, Jekyl and Hyde. It was amazing!

Uncle Murray and Aunt Jill paid for the boys' dinner as part of their Christmas. They knew the boys would love this place!

Patton absolutely loved the place!

It was scary, hilarious, and entertaining!!

What fun we had!!!

Our First Day in New York!

Our home for the week! Uncle Murray drove us from the airport to his apartment in Brooklyn.
We had to carry our lugguge up two steps of stairs. Poor Mr. David because my suitcase weighed 50 pounds.

When we got there, Aunt Jill and the boys made me some chocolate cupcakes for my birthday! They were yummy!

Here is my room!

This is Aunt Jill's and Uncle Murray's bedroom.

This is the den where the boys will be camping out for the next week!

Here we are heading out for our first outing in NEW YORK!

Aunt Jill and the boys waiting on their first subway!

Uncle Murray giving out final instructions for our subway ride!

We got off the subway in DUMBO: Down Under the Manhatten Brooklyn Overpass. The boys were so excited to see the Brooklyn Bridge.

We waited in line outside for over an hour to eat at this ymmy restaurant.

We enjoyed some yummy brick-oven pizza!

Thanksgiving Break: New York City

We got up at 3:45 this morning to get ready for our 6:05 AM flight out of Huntsville to New York City. When we got to the airport, we had to open our suitcases and shuffle around some clothes because my suitcase weighed over 50 pounds ( I got in trouble for packing 10 pairs of shoes.). That means we would have paid $100 for that suitcase instead of $25. Finally, we got all 3 suitcases weighing under 50 pounds and got them checked!
Smith sat with me and Patton sat with David on our way to Charlotte, NC.

I sat in between the boys on our way NYC from Charlotte, and David sat with some strangers across from us! Patton read the whole time, Smith played his DS, and David and I took power naps.

These are some pictures Patton took from his window in the airplane as we arrived in New York.

My 3 boys waiting on our luggage at the airport.

After we got our luggage, Uncle Murray and Buddy arrived to pick us up!
