Welcome back, Coondogs!
Happy Second Semester!
I am looking forward to seeing each and everyone one of my students in the morning.
We will spend Thursday and Friday trying to ease back into things. We will focus mostly on multiplication and Comprehension Toolkit. There will be no homework on Thursday night.
I will send home my newsletter on Monday. Please check your child's DOG book for the new Scholastic book order and January's lunch menu on Thursday. Report cards will be in there on Friday./font>

Christmas at the Coons
We had two excited boys on Christmas morning. Santa brought lots of surprises!

Smith's gifts from Santa.

Patton's stash from Santa.

Santa also left the boys some furniture for their playroom.

Smith chilled out most of the morning on their new couch with his Skullcandy headphones and iPod shuffle.

Patton's favorite gift was a his WWII knife, the KA- BAR.

Their excitement and smiles were priceless! Job well done, Santa!!! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

Christmas Craft
Mrs. Cleveland, Mrs. Minkinow, and Mrs. McComb did a precious Christmas craft with my class and Mrs. Hardison's class.

They got this adorable idea off Pinterest.

The boys and girls couldn't wait to take them home.

Violin Recital
Mr. Frank taught our class 10 lessons on how to play the violin.

After performing for our audience, the boys and girls went out and shared their violins with their visitors.

They were amazing!!! I was so proud of them.

Christmas Crafts
The Friday before we got out of school for the holidays, Mrs. McComb and Mrs. Minkinow made edible Christmas trees with the class.

Many of them did more eating than decorating. It was cute!

Look how pretty they turned out!

We had green icing from one end of our room to the other. They loved it!!! Thank you, Moms!

Pancakes, Pajamas, and Polar Express
We had a wonderful Christmas party on December 17, 2011. We ate pancakes, decorated gingerbread houses, and watched The Polar Express. We did all this in our PJ's.

We had some good cooks!

We also had some pretty awesome servers!

The decorating began as soon as our tummies were full.

I think some of our moms had just as much fun as the students.

They turned out to be quite beautiful!!!

We ended our party with this fabulous movie. It was a fun day!
