What a fabulous day for a field trip!  We had a blast at The Burritt on the Mountain Museum in Huntsville, Alabama today!  The weather was perfect, and the boys and girls were outstanding.  I think the boys and girls learned lots of information about the 1800's and how things have CHANGED over time.

The boys and girls went and voted for PRESIDENT today.

Mrs. Hughes invited us to come watch the chicks hatch.

When we went, there was one chick out and several working their way out of their egg.

By the next morning, there were 19 baby chicks.  Adorable!!!

LuLu came to school again on Friday, but in her Halloween costume. She wanted to show it off!!!!

We have been working on distinguishing the author's purpose when reading books. We made PIEs to help us remember....P is persuade, I is inform, and E is entertain.

Our focus this past week was on the P! We read two hilarious books.
