Happy Easter

We spent Friday afternoon celebrating Easter with a yummy snack and egg dying! Thank you to all the parents who helped make this celebration a fun time!!!!

7 Habits Lesson

Today, Mrs. Olinger did a 7 Habits lesson with my kids. She was modeling for a group of teachers from Madison County. They were wonderful, and I think they enjoyed it!!!

Deep into Test Prep

Today, we worked on 4 math content standards (number sense, basic addition and subtraction, 2 & 3 digitsby one digit multiplication, and division). We practiced how to answer an open-ended question. We did 3 together, and 1 independently.

Mr. Gallon Man

We made a Mr. Gallon Man to help us better understand capacity. We used him to help us answer some riddles. This visual really helped some of them!

Student of the Month

Congratulations to Olivia King for receiving March's Student of the Month for Leadership! She is definitely a leader in my room.

PACT

Today we went to a puppet show presented by PACT about Good Touches and Bad Touches. We will see a different show tomorrow.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day today which is on Saturday this year. The boys and girls wore green to school, and our wonderful mothers provided us a yummy GREEN snack!

Spelling Practice

Today we spent a good bit of time on our spelling words. We want to start this 9 weeks off with A's on our first spelling test.

Sweet Mrs. McComb came and shared two entertaining stories with the class this afternoon.

Fractions

We spent a lot of time working on determining the fraction of a set today. For example 1/3 of 21. We used pizzas with pepperoni to help us understand.
