Chemical Testing

This week the whole third grade is participating in a week long study of chemical testing.


Each group has been presented five unknown powders that they are performing tests on to help them identify the powders.


Today, the children performed the water test, water mixture test, and the filtration test.
Ask your child to tell you the difference between a suspension and a solution.


They worked diligently with their groups.


By Friday, the students will use all their test results to identify the unknown powders.



Tomorrow we will perform the vinegar test, the iodine test, and the red cabbage test.
