First DOL Quiz on Friday

Every Friday, your child will be taking a DOL (Daily Oral Language) test. This is part of their Bell Work when they come in each morning. I will encourage the children to bring home their Bell Work Folders nightly so they can study and be prepared for the quiz on Friday. They are not tested on the math (DOM), just the language part. Every morning this assignment is in on the overhead for your child to copy and complete. Then, as a class we check it together. Your child is suppose make his/her corrections with a red pen before putting it up in his/her cubby. I keep telling them the more they write, the easier it will be to study. I take one or two EXACT problems from each day to make my quiz. If they listen, make corrections, and look over it nightly, there should be no problem. Usually it takes one or two Fridays for them to catch on, but I promise it gets easier as the year goes on. Thanks for your patience. Any questions????. We will get our first list of spelling words tomorrow. Things are different this year meaning all spelling tests will not be on Friday. For example, this first test will be next Wednesday. Due to the random dates, I am sending home all spelling lists for our first unit. Above each list is the date of the test. PLEASE keep this list in the BEE BOOK at all times. That way I know your child has it to study each night and then your child has it for classwork at school. Thanks!
