We worked on place value this morning in third grade. We talked about how a digit can change values based on its place in a number. For example, a 7 could be 7000, 700, 70, etc. 
Each child had three number cards. We worked on making the smallest and largest numbers possible with those 3 cards. For example, If I had 4, 3, and 0, my largest number would be 430 while my smallest number would be 34.
Wesley is checking to see who had the largest number, him or Cole????
They did very well with this activity.
