Finally 26.2 miles! Here we are heading to the finish line!
Here is the whole gang from Decatur that ran either the half marathon or the full marathon: Katherine Peters, Brad and Barbara Stepp, Paige Dorr, Heather and Dave Coon, Megan Miller, and Lisa Hamn.
Paige finished in 3 hours and 51 minutes. Barbara, Megan, and I finished in 4 hours and 17 minutes (4 minutes slower than my last marathon)!
We had skirts made for the memorable event. You would not believe the comments we received during the marathon from spectators and other runners. Even when we ran through the finish line, the announcer made a comment about our "dots"!
Here we are with our medals! It was a perfect day! The weather was great and the course was absolutely beautiful.
Now, just pray Mrs. Coon can move at school tomorrow. I am so sore!

Absolute KUDOS for the skirts. They are the cutest things EVER. Not only can ya'll run a marathon but you can look great doing it. We won't see any of you on What Not to Wear!
