Making Gingerbread Houses

After a yummy pancake breakfast, the boys and girls created MASTERPIECES! They did such a beautiful job on their gingerbread houses.

The finish project! They were gorgeous!!!

Pancake Breakfast

We celebrated the Christmas season with a third grade pancake breakfast! We had several griddles going in our third grade commons to prepare yummy pancakes for hungry kiddos. Mr. K. stayed close because we blew a fuse not just once or twice, but about 6 times!!!
Some classes sent in meat to go along with the pancakes.

Thanks to all the parents who made this breakfast possible. The boys and girls had a great time! The food was perfect!

Gingerbread Houses

Look what Mrs. Laney and I worked on this morning! We spent the morning getting our gingerbread houses ready to decorate!
Don't forget to send in your items for the gingerbread houses if you have not already!
I can't wait to see how they all turn out on Thursday!!!

Merry Christmas!

When the boys and girls came in Monday morning, they found a "happy" from me, a Christmas card from my family, and two fun Christmas activity sheets on their tables. They knew it was going to be a fun week at JHES!!!

JHES Faculty Party

Look what Mr. Kimbrell won as a door prize at our faculty Christmas Party. He also wrote his own version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" to share with us.
We had a great time singing together.

Mr. K. kept us in tune as we sang.

A BIG thank you to Joyce Terry for hosting this awesome party! It was a lot of fun!!!

More Christmas Ornaments

This is what we have been working on the past two days, and many of us are still not done! I have been to the store twice to buy straight pins for them. I had no idea it would take over 3500 pins to complete these. They really are pretty hanging on the tree especially when the lights hit it just right!
They worked so quietly on sticking sequins on a styrofoam ball with straight pins.
However, they would have to take breaks because their fingers would get tired and sore!

Hopefully, I can get by the store before school in the morning, so we can finish them up! If anyone has any straight pins at home, send them in!!!

Making Christmas Ornaments

William's mom, Asa Taylor, was so sweet to come in last Friday to make candy cane ornaments with the boys and girls!

It was my kind of ornament, easy and simple! Thank you, Mrs. Taylor!!!
