I am so thankful!

We had a wonderful Christmas! I hope each and everyone of you had a blessed Christmas as well. Patton with Kermit.

Here is Patton's Santa gifts. He is a huge Muppet Fan! His main gift was the poseable replica of Kermit the Frog.

Most of Smith's gifts had to do with skateboarding. He got lots of Tony Hawk clothes. Of course his main gift was the skateboard ramp.

Pajamas, Pancakes, and Polar Express

Our last day of school before Christmas break was jammed-packed with lots of festivities: pancakes, gingerbread houses, ornaments, pajamas, movies, sing-a-long, etc.

Thank you for all the wonderul gifts you gave me for Christmas. You guys are way too generous! Also, thanks for all the help before, during, and after the Christmas party. I have the best parents ever!!!!

Hanka Montana

Mr. Kimbrell kicked off the sing-a-long on the last day of school with his Hannah Montana performance. His performance was extremely entertaining! Not only did the children love it, but the teachers and parents did, too!

Smith made me check him out of school because he did not want to miss Mr. Kimbrell's performance.

Pancakes, Pajamas, and Polar Express

We will be eating pancakes, watching the Polar Express, and decorating gingerbread houses. We would love some HELPING hands.

Gingerbread Houses

Look at my wonderful moms assembling our gingerbread houses for Thursday's party. You girls are awesome!!! Thank you! Anyone that wants to bring something to the party, we could never have too much candy to decorate our houses with. I forgot to put Twizzlers and Coconut (for snow) on the list. We could never have too many Red Hots, Gum Drops, M&M's, or small candy canes. The more we have, the more fun they will have decorating! Yummmm.......Hershey Kisses sound good, too!

More ornaments!

The children worked really hard on making beautiful sequin balls for their Christmas trees.

Christmas Brownies

Brandon's mom brought the class yummy brownies for a Christmas snack on Tuesday. Thank you, Mrs. Prince! They were delicious!!!!

Making Christmas Ornaments

This week we have focused on Christmas Traditions: trees, stockings, and ornaments. Not only have we made some ornaments, we have written about them, too! Brandon showing off his snowman ornament!

My Daddy

Please pray for my daddy as moves along to the next step on this long road to recovery. On Wednesday, my daddy will have his first radiation treatment. He will go every day for 20 minutes for 6 weeks. We are all a little anxious due to the unknown, but we have faith that he will do just fine!
Doesn't he look great!!!! We celebrated Christmas with his side of the family (Smith Family)Saturday night. His sisters, nieces, and nephews were so happy that he was able to be there. They could not believe how good he looked! We had a great time!

Toys for Tots

Thank you for sending in toys for our Toys for Tots Drive. Several Marines came to school on Thursday to pick them up. They were so nice to talk to each third grade class and answer any questions we might have had. They were really appreciative for all the toys we collected. Thanks so much for giving!

Watch Out Boston--Here Comes Paige!

My sweet friend who got me in this running business ran the Rocket City Marathon on Saturday. She had to run 26.2 miles in 3 hours and 40 minutes to qualify for the Boston Marathon. She ran it in 3 hours and 37 minutes. Way to go, Paige!!!!!!!! This Paige with her husband and brother.
Paige's brother paced her for 13 miles. He is a big time runner. He just completed an Ironman a couple of months ago.

Here she comes! She made it to Boston!

We had the best time on Saturday. We were able to see her twice out on the course and at the finish line. We even tried to run a little bit with her, but she was way too fast for these legs!!!
She is an amazing runner, coach, and friend! I am proud so proud of her!!!
